BU Symphony Orchestra Concert
David Hoose, conductor. Repertoire features Jean Sibelius' "Lemminkäinen Suite, Op. 22" and Sergei Rachmaninoff's "Symphonic Dances, Op. 45." Concert is free and open to the public. The Boston University School of Music seeks to distinguish itself among the country’s top music conservatories by performing some of the most challenging masterpieces of the classical repertoire in one of the most beloved concert halls in the world. Directed by David Hoose, the ensemble program of the Boston University College of Fine Arts assumes an integral and central place in the education of the School of Music’s talented young musicians. The Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, and Wind Ensemble perform more than sixteen concerts each season.
